CLEAR EXPECTATIONS
TERMS OF USE
Updated October 26, 2026
These Terms explain the use of the Fall Claim Lawyers website and its inquiry service. Please review them before submitting a request. By submitting a case-review inquiry, you agree to these Terms. The Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Legal Notice explain related practices and limitations. Optional cookie consent is a separate choice.
Before you send an inquiry
Fall Claim Lawyers is a legal connection service, not a law firm. A form submission does not hire an attorney, file a claim, or stop a deadline. The initial review is free, and you are not required to hire anyone.
1. The service and eligibility
Fall Claim Lawyers helps adults seeking help with a New York City slip-and-fall injury inquire about a connection with an independent attorney. We collect a short inquiry and may share it with an attorney who decides whether they can assist. We do not provide legal advice, represent clients, determine the value of a claim, or guarantee attorney availability.
You must be at least 18 to submit an inquiry. A parent, guardian, or other authorized person may inquire on someone else’s behalf, but should identify that relationship and provide only information they are authorized to share. The website is not an emergency service.
2. Your inquiry and permission to contact you
Provide accurate information and a phone number and email address at which you can be contacted. Do not impersonate another person or send information without authority. You are not required to know who is legally responsible before making an inquiry.
The form asks permission for Fall Claim Lawyers and an independent attorney to contact you about that inquiry and for the information to be shared for a review. It does not enroll you in an automated promotional text-message campaign. You may ask this service to stop further contact by emailing us. An attorney may need a separate request for communications they control.
Please send only a brief description. Do not submit financial account information, Social Security numbers, detailed medical records, or confidential documents through this form. Form and email communications are not guaranteed secure or protected by attorney-client privilege.
3. No attorney-client relationship or deadline protection
Using the website, submitting an inquiry, or receiving a response does not create an attorney-client relationship. An independent attorney must separately agree to represent you, normally through an engagement agreement. Do not assume that anyone is acting for you before that happens.
Submitting an inquiry does not start a lawsuit, serve a notice, preserve evidence, meet a filing deadline, or pause a time limit. General website information may not apply to your circumstances. Contact a licensed attorney promptly if timing or a legal obligation is important.
4. Free review and attorney arrangements
The initial case review is free and there is no obligation to hire an attorney. If an attorney accepts your case, their engagement agreement governs representation, fees, expenses, and other terms. When a case is accepted on a contingency basis, attorney fees may be payable from a recovery; responsibility for case expenses can differ. Review those terms directly with the attorney.
Independent attorneys control their own professional advice and services. You are responsible for deciding whether to hire one. No particular attorney, case acceptance, payment, compensation amount, or outcome is promised.
5. Permitted website use
You may use the website for lawful personal inquiries and to read its general information. Do not misuse forms, submit spam or malicious code, interfere with security or availability, attempt unauthorized access, harvest other people’s information, or misrepresent an affiliation with this service. Reasonable steps may be taken to limit abusive use or protect the website.
6. Content, photographs, and external services
Website copy, design, branding, and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. You may view and make reasonable personal-use copies; broader reuse requires the rights holder’s permission unless a separate license or law allows it. The ice photograph and its adaptations carry the CC BY-SA 4.0 license identified in the footer; that license continues to apply to the photograph.
Photography illustrates settings and does not depict clients or incidents handled through this service. External links and third-party processing tools are provided for their stated purpose. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply. Linking to a service is not a guarantee of its performance.
Settlement calculator
The calculator is an educational scenario tool, not a claim appraisal, legal opinion, settlement offer, or prediction. Its illustrative factors are assumptions, not verified averages or legal standards. It does not determine liability, eligibility, insurance coverage, deadlines, net proceeds, or an appropriate amount to accept. Actual recovery may be lower or higher, including zero. Missing costs or zero medical costs may prevent a displayed range without meaning a claim has no value. Consult a licensed attorney before relying on a value or making a legal decision. See the calculator methodology for the formula and limitations. Using the calculator is free; submitting its results for a review is optional and subject to the inquiry terms above.
7. Availability and limitations
We aim to keep information useful and the website available, but content may become outdated and technical services may be interrupted. You should confirm legal information with an attorney and should not rely on this website to protect a deadline. The service and general information are provided as available, subject to rights and protections that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Fall Claim Lawyers does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free access or a particular result from an inquiry. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, removes a mandatory consumer right, or limits an independent attorney’s professional obligations. The treatment of any dispute or remedy is subject to applicable law.
8. Changes and other provisions
Features and these Terms may change. Updates apply from the effective date shown; material changes will be identified where appropriate and do not retroactively change an existing attorney engagement. Review the current Terms before submitting a new inquiry. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
